Responsibilities
We are looking for a Team Manager (all genders) to manage and support our teams in developing TeamViewer Remote Management. You will translate high-level vision into working services and enhance the software platform powering TeamViewer’s industry-leading portfolio of products. Work closely together with other R&D leaders and contribute to department-wide initiatives, focusing on building services and platforms across the TeamViewer product portfolio. Your focus will be Task Automation and remote scripting and you can increase to other Remote Management services in the future.
- Lead two or more engineering teams that focus on building services for our Remote Management solution
- Define the team’s product roadmap and drive the system architecture
- Own all parts of the service lifecycle, including design, development, documentation, testing, tracking and operations
- Continuously improve the product delivery process to reach a sustainable improvement
- Deliver software meeting the highest quality in terms of usability, stability, performance, and security
- Be responsible for the quality of the product the team delivers, as well as their overall effectiveness
- Utilize proven technical best practices to inspire and guide the team, and ensure that other teams can use their solutions in an easy and flexible manner
- Provide guidance in regards to technical, process, or method-related questions to the team and enable and foster an open feedback and communication culture
- Ensure the personal and professional development of the team members to help them reach their full potential
Requirements
- A university or college degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related subject
- 8+ years of software development experience focused on building services and products
- 2+ years of experience in leading and managing engineering teams, demonstrating strong leadership skills and a proven track record in team development.
- Comfortable with working in high-demand set-ups and ability to prioritize execution, hands-on mentality
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations
- Experience partnering with product and user experience teams
- Strong communication skills with customers, business, and technical partners
- Strong data-driven mindset and great attention to detail
- A spirit of lifelong learning and eagerness to tackle new challenges every day
- Fluency in English is mandatory, further languages such as German are a plus
