Responsibilities
We are looking for a Team Lead Software Development to manage and support our teams developing TeamViewer Tensor Embedded. You will translate high-level vision into working services and enhance the software platform powering TeamViewer’s industry-leading portfolio of products. Work closely with other R&D leaders and contribute to department-wide initiatives, focusing on building services and platforms across the TeamViewer product portfolio.
- Lead an engineering team focusing on building services for our Tensor Embedded solution. Be accountable for delivering the roadmap.
- Define the team’s product roadmap together with Product Management. Drive and maintain the system architecture with the team.
- Be accountable for all parts of the service lifecycle, including design, development, documentation, testing, tracking, and operations. Ensure that solutions can be used by other teams in an easy and flexible manner.
- Continuously improve the product delivery and team collaboration process to achieve sustainable and continuous value creation.
- Be responsible for the quality of the product the team delivers, as well as their overall effectiveness and well-being.
- Enable an open feedback and communication culture of trust within the team.
- Utilize proven technical and leadership best practices to inspire and guide the team.
- Provide guidance on technical, process, or method-related questions to the team. Foster an open feedback and communication culture.
- Ensure the personal and professional development of team members. Actively help and coach them to reach their full potential.
Requirements
- A university or college degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 8+ years of software development experience focused on building services and products, preferably with C++.
- Experience in leading and managing engineering teams, with strong leadership and communication skills, and a proven track record in team development.
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software development life cycle, including object-oriented programming, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Comfortable working in a high-demand setup with the ability to prioritize execution with a hands-on mentality.
- A real agile mindset that puts people before processes.
- Strong communication skills with customers, business, and technical partners.
- Strong data-driven mindset and great attention to detail.
- A spirit of lifelong learning and eagerness to tackle new challenges every day.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages such as German or Portuguese are a plus.
