Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced IFRS/Revenue Specialist (all genders) to join our international Order-to-Cash team and drive improvements in the IFRS 15 closing process. This role acts as a strategic business partner, ensuring compliance with revenue recognition standards (TV internal policies and IFRS 15) while supporting commercial decision-making.

As a trusted advisor, the IFRS/Revenue Specialist will actively engage in structuring and reviewing commercial proposals and contractual documents prior to deal closure. The goal is to provide guidance that (i) maximizes revenue recognition opportunities and (ii) ensures corrective actions are taken before contracts are finalized.

The role also includes maintaining up-to-date knowledge of revenue recognition policies and promoting awareness across Finance and business teams.

Tasks will include:

  • Serve as Global Process Owner for defined IFRS 15 processes.
  • Partner with customer-facing teams to structure commercial proposals and contractual documents.
  • Review and approve quotes summarizing terms and conditions before release to customers.
  • Analyze customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment under IFRS 15.
  • Prepare and maintain revenue schedules, including deferrals, accruals, and reclassifications.
  • Verify and monitor accuracy of revenue accounting information and related deliverables.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing revenue-related disclosures for external reporting.
  • Draft technical accounting memos and documentation for complex revenue scenarios.
  • Act as primary contact for internal and external auditors on revenue recognition matters.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Take ownership of accounting areas, improving processes and internal controls, including drafting/revising accounting manuals.
  • Deliver training sessions to spread revenue recognition knowledge across Finance and business teams.
  • Actively participate in accounting-related projects and initiatives.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles.
  • Proven knowledge and experience with IFRS, particularly IFRS 15 (or similar standards).
  • Professional certification preferred (ACCA, CPA, CFA).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; further languages are a plus.
  • Hands-on mentality with a process-driven approach.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; effective in virtual and global teams.
  • Technical proficiency with accounting systems and MS Office tools.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to change.
  • Positive mindset and collaborative attitude.
