Short Description/Job Objective:
The TeamViewer Digital Employee Experience (DEX) platform finds and resolves IT issues before they affect users. Over the past several years we have successfully built and released products which makes IT administrators' day-to-day life easier. Our vision is to become THE unified endpoint management solution for our customers.
We are looking for a team lead with experience working across servers and clients with knowledge of Ruby On Rails, C++, JavaScript and more. You will lead the work to bring capabilities from our Observability platform into our DEX platform. This will involve making technical decisions about the best way we can integrate to provide our users with the best customer experience whilst ensuring that we can converge our 2 platforms into a single unified, scalable, maintainable platform.
Our observability platform consists of an agent (C++, QT, Electron, JavaScript), a UI (React, Vue, Angular) and a backend (Ruby on Rails, MongoDB, MySQL, AWS EC2).
Our DEX platform consists of an agent (C++), a UI (React) and a backend (C# .Net Core 8 running on Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure SQL Managed Instance, PostgreSQL, EventHub, Kafka, Databricks).
You will own the delivery of the roadmap, working closely with our existing observability team that is US-based to deliver the integration whilst also supporting the maintenance of the existing platform.
Responsibilities:
- Own delivery roadmap and technical direction for integrating the acquired product into our platform and delivery of new features.
- Drive architectural decisions that meet product requirements whilst considering key non-functional requirements such as scalability, security and maintainability – taking an approach that aligns with our north star of converging to a single unified platform.
- Align stakeholders (Product, Security, Operations) and manage risks, dependencies and scope.
- Ensure adherence to engineering standards: CI/CD quality gates, secure SDLC, and observability/SLOs.
- Coach and develop the team; enable predictable delivery and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- A university or college degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or a related subject
- 12+ years of software development experience with at least 2 years as Team Lead / Team Manager for an Agile team.
- Experienced in leading delivery of cloud-based solution that has required collaboration across different teams.
- Experience with Azure/AWS cloud services such as: Kafka, Kubernetes, Redis, event streaming
- Experience leading project delivery in collaboration with remote teams
- Experience working with C++, JavaScript and QT
- Experience applying engineering practices and patterns for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.
- Solid knowledge of Secure SDLC principles, OWASP Top-10 vulnerabilities & remediation, and Threat Modeling
- Strong communication skills to customers, business and technical partners
- Strong data-driven mindset and a great attention to detail
- A pragmatic, outcome-focused mindset that balances technical excellence with business needs and delivery timelines.
- A spirit of lifelong learning and eagerness to tackle new challenges every day
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- Experience working with network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, SSL/TLS, UDP, SIP, RTP is a plus.
