Short Description/Job Objective:
The TeamViewer Digital Employee Experience (DEX) platform finds and resolves IT issues before they affect users. Over the past several years we have successfully built and released products which makes IT administrators' day-to-day life easier. Our vision is to become THE unified endpoint management solution for our customers.
We are looking for an exceptional Staff Full Stack Engineer with Rails and JavaScript framework experience. You will lead the design and implementation work to bring capabilities from our Observability platform into our DEX platform. This will involve making technical decisions about the best way we can integrate to provide our users with the best customer experience whilst ensuring that we can converge our 2 platforms into a single unified, scalable, maintainable platform.
Our observability platform consists of an agent (C++, QT, Electron, JavaScript), a UI (React, Vue, Angular) and a backend (Ruby on Rails, Resque, MongoDB, MySQL, AWS EC2).
Our DEX platform consists of an agent (C++), a UI (React) and a backend (C# .Net Core 8 on Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure SQL Managed Instance, PostgreSQL, EventHub, Kafka, Databricks).
You will own the technical strategy, working closely with our existing observability team (based in the US) to plan and implement the integration whilst supporting the maintenance of the existing platform.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the formulation of the technical strategy to integrate the 2 platforms
- Conducting spikes and PoCs to investigate integration paths.
- Play a lead role in the platform integration work
- Engineering every aspect of the product across the full stack – from User Experience, Visualization and DevOps to Analytics
- Adhere to engineering standards: CI/CD quality gates, secure SDLC, and observability/SLOs.
- Scale the platform to meet the needs of both SMB and large enterprise customers.
Requirements:
- A university degree in the field of information technology, computer science and engineering or a related subject
- 12+ years of professional experience in the field of software development
- Strong competency in Ruby on Rails and backend technologies such as HAML, Resque, and ActionCable.
- Experience with Docker/containerization and event streaming.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL data storage technologies (e.g. MySQL and MongoDB)
- Experience creating and updating CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Azure/AWS cloud services such as: Kafka, Kubernetes, Redis, event streaming
- Experience working with complex JavaScript (Electron, promises, functional programming) and one of React, Vue.JS, Angular.
- Experience leading platform migrations and projects to scale SaaS applications
- Solid knowledge of Secure SDLC principles, OWASP Top-10 vulnerabilities & remediation, and Threat Modeling.
- Understanding of Clean Code and Design Patterns for object-orientated programming
- A pragmatic, outcome-focused mindset that balances technical excellence with business needs and delivery timelines.
- A spirit of lifelong learning and eagerness to tackle new challenges every day
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- Experience with C++, QT and Electron is a plus
- Familiarity with AI tools for coding (like Co-pilot) is a plus
- Experience working with network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, SSL/TLS, UDP, SIP, RTP is a plus.
