Short Description/Job Objective:

The TeamViewer Digital Employee Experience (DEX) platform finds and resolves IT issues before they affect users. Over the past several years we have successfully built and released products which makes IT administrators' day-to-day life easier. Our vision is to become THE unified endpoint management solution for our customers.

We’re looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer to play a key role in ensuring high quality in our DEX platform via consistent & reliable automated testing, with high coverage of our core functionalities.

As part of an Agile team, you will be an individual contributor working on the automated testing of our DEX platform (both server and agent), using tools like Playwright, SpecFlow and other testing frameworks.  The systems under test are the Platform Server (web application hosted on Azure Kubernetes for SaaS, and on IIS for on-prem) and Agent running as a background service on the endpoints (on Windows, Mac and Linux devices). Your duties will include manual testing, automated functional testing, test data management, maintenance of CI/CD pipelines in ADO and status reporting to senior management. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the automated testing of DEX features across various platforms including Web, Windows, Mac and Linux
  • Contribute to the development of our Automation and Scripting solution
  • Integrate automated tests and maintain the CI/CD pipeline
  • Conduct and enhance system tests, usability tests, regression tests, compatibility tests, exploration tests with automation
  • Collaborate with the development team to shape features for maximum testability, enabling robust functional and automated testing.
  • Own the test planning, (automated) test development, test execution and test run reporting
  • Write, review and execute test plans throughout the development life cycle
  • Support, develop and improve (automated) testing strategies and techniques
  • Collaborate or lead test automation projects and initiatives
  • Find bugs, isolate, document, troubleshoot, and track your findings
  • Ensure test plans thoroughly cover all requirements and customer use cases
  • Communicate and report test execution results to the product team and leadership team
  • Mentor and guide automation engineers, promoting best practices and continuous improvement. 

 

Requirements:

  • A university degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Information Technology, or any other related subject
  • 4+ years of experience in automated testing and quality assurance
  • Knowledge of professional testing practices (SOLID) within the software development life cycle
  • Proven skills and working history in design and implementation of automated tests
  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, team managers
  • Experience in manual testing
  • Experience in working with VMs on Hypervisor, ADO build pipelines and Azure environments 
  • Experience in working with common software testing tools (Playwright, SpecFlow, Cypress, Ranorex, etc.)
  • Knowledge of C# or Typescript/JavaScript, and SQL
  • Strong attention to detail with a passion for learning and working with innovative technologies
  • Experience of API testing tools like Postman, and familiarity with JSON is a plus
  • ISTQB certification is a plus
  • Familiarity with AI-based tools like Co-pilot for Test generation is a plus
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, other languages are a plus
