Job Title: Business Application Analyst – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (Finance Expert)

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Functional Consultant with deep expertise in the Finance modules of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. The ideal candidate understands not just how D365 works but how finance teams think, operate, and scale. You’ll be working closely with stakeholders, solution architects, and developers to design, configure, and deliver finance solutions that actually make sense to the business.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead functional design, configuration, and implementation of Finance modules in D365 F&O, including:
    • General Ledger (GL)
    • Accounts Payable (AP)
    • Accounts Receivable (AR)
    • Cash & Bank Management
    • Fixed Assets
    • Budgeting
    • Project Accounting / Cost Accounting
    • Tax (VAT, Withholding, E-Invoicing, etc.)
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Drive workshops with business users to gather requirements, map processes, and identify gaps in standard D365 functionality.
  • Configure and test D365 F&O finance modules based on business processes and localization needs.
  • Support data migration activities, including mapping, transformation, and validation.
  • Prepare and maintain FDDs (Functional Design Documents), Test Scripts, and Training Materials.
  • Coordinate and support UAT, defect resolution, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to finance stakeholders, ensuring compliance, auditability, and process efficiency.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (Procurement, Sales, Tax, Reporting, etc.) to ensure smooth process integration.

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience implementing or supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
  • Strong expertise in Finance modules — must understand accounting principles, month-end close, and financial reporting processes.
  • Experience in full-cycle D365 F&O implementations (preferably with international or multi-entity rollouts).
  • Solid understanding of localizations (e.g., EU VAT, Intrastat, E-Invoicing, etc.) and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in creating FDDs, conducting UAT sessions, and documenting configuration.
  • Strong coordination skills with both business and technical teams.
  • Ability to troubleshoot functional issues and recommend practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

 

Nice-to-Have

  • Knowledge of D365 electronic reporting (ER) and Power Platform integration.
  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate (MB-310).
  • Experience in global finance operations or multi-company environments.
