We are seeking an innovative and skilled Data Scientist with a specialized focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP) to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in extracting insights, building intelligent systems, and developing advanced machine learning models that understand, process, and generate human language. You will leverage large textual datasets to solve complex business problems and enhance our products with cutting-edge NLP capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Define & Explore: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to frame NLP problems, identify relevant data, and design collection/annotation strategies.
  • Clean & Prepare: Process large volumes of unstructured text through tokenization, normalization, and feature extraction.
  • Model & Innovate: Build and evaluate machine learning and deep learning NLP models, including transformers and sequence models.
  • Leverage LLMs: Fine-tune pre-trained language models (e.g., Hugging Face), apply prompt engineering, and integrate LLMs into real-world use cases.
  • Experiment & Evaluate: Run experiments, optimize performance, and validate models using NLP metrics like F1-score, ROUGE, or perplexity.
  • Generate Insights: Extract meaningful insights from text data and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Deploy & Collaborate: Work closely with engineers to bring NLP solutions into production—ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Stay Ahead: Keep up with the latest research in NLP and contribute to driving innovation within the team.

 

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist with a focus on NLP
  • Solid understanding of NLP methods and best practices
  • Strong Python skills and familiarity with libraries like Hugging Face, SpaCy, NLTK, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
  • Experience with preprocessing and analyzing large text datasets
  • Knowledge of deep learning architectures (Transformers, RNNs, LSTMs, etc.)
  • Strong statistical background and experience with A/B testing and experimentation
  • Comfortable working with SQL/NoSQL databases and large-scale data
  • Clear communicator with the ability to simplify complex concepts
  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Linguistics, or a related field
