Responsibilities

 

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Sales Controller to join our dynamic Finance team. This role will be a key partner to the Sales and Retention departments, responsible for providing financial insights, performance monitoring, and strategic decision-making support. The Senior Sales Controller will play a critical role in driving forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing revenue trends, as well as contributing to process improvements within the sales finance area.

 

  • Be an essential pillar of the weekly and monthly management reporting and provide necessary documentation about variances versus the budget with focus on our existing customer base
  • You are the main go to person for the Sales/Retention teams and support them in every possible way to achieve their targets by creating transparency about their performance development in all dimensions/segments
  • Conceptualize and optimize controlling instruments both technically and with great content to enhance our business
  • Prepare (ad hoc) analyses and decision memos for management and derivation of recommendations for action
  • Play a vital role in the budgeting and forecasting process (predictive FC) in close interaction with Sales/Retention and the management
  • Communicate and collaboration across functions/teams

 

Requirements

 

  • University or technical college degree in business administration with a focus on finance with at least four years of professional experience in a sales-related environment in a global set up (EMEA, AMS, APAC); experience in SaaS and churn analysis
  • You understand the general business dynamics of a growing subscription company and their operative metrics (familiar with relevant KPI set)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS-Office (especially Excel and Power Point)
  • Experience with Microsoft dynamics and/or tableau is an advantage
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, German is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
