Responsibilities

 

We are looking for a Senior System Engineer with expertise in private cloud infrastructure, Active Directory (AD), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and Entra ID governance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and securing critical IT infrastructure while ensuring seamless integration with cloud identity services.

 

  • Manage and maintain our Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO’s and Entra ID and its connected services in an environment of 2000+ global users
  • Plan and execute infrastructure modernization and migration projects
  • Oversee Entra ID governance, identity lifecycle, entitle management and modern IAM.
  • Troubleshooting and resolve complex infrastructure issues and having the ability to complete a Root-Cause-Analysis report for our IT Management
  • Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell and other scripting tools
  • Maintain user and access management via RBAC’s (role-based access control) and access packages
  • Working in our ITSM (ticket system) to help our employees (2nd Level Service).
  • Responsible for our technical documentation
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to interns/students
  • Manage and support Exchange Online in a Hybrid environment, including SMTP mail flow
  • Collaborate with our IT Security team to ensure a robust identity and access management framework
  • Design and implementation of new concepts and solutions for the optimized and efficient operation of the systems, Infrastructure as a Code

Requirements

 

  • Completed studies in IT, Computer Science or relevant experience in the field of IT
  • Extensive experience as a System Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on corporate infrastructure
  • In-depth technical knowledge in Windows Server 2022 and above is required (Active Directory, Entra ID identity governance, Windows PKI, Server- and Client GPOs, user provisioning, Azure Tenant administration)
  • Familiarity with hybrid identity environments and authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML, Kerberos, etc.)
  • Technical skills in Microsoft Exchange 2019 / Exchange Online are a must
  • Experienced in working in a multi-Tier domain forest and working with tiering environments
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administration
  • Linux skills are an advantage
  • Solid understanding of IT security, compliance regulations, and data governance
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator, MCSE, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Fluent in English is a must
