Responsibilities

 

As a Platform Operations Engineer (all genders), your primary responsibility will be ensuring the high availability, maintenance, security, and stability of our customer-facing systems, prioritizing the seamless operation of server systems, implementing robust high availability and recovery processes, monitoring infrastructure for performance and security vulnerabilities.

 

  • Operate and manage our existing 2000+ server systems worldwide, ensuring their secure, smooth operation and availability
  • Monitor the entire infrastructure, proactively identifying and resolving any performance or security issues
  • Work with the local and global teams to ensure efficient collaboration and communication
  • Close collaboration with all our R&D and IT teams to align operations with business goals
  • Update systems and software periodically to maintain optimal functionality and security
  • Work on incidents, providing technical support and troubleshooting
  • Provide expertise in Active Directory (AD), ensuring the proper configuration, management, and security of user accounts, group policies, and domain services
  • Work with Hosting and Public Cloud provider
  • Participate in improving our customer-facing infrastructure by designing and implementing new concepts and solutions to optimize operations

Requirements

 

  • At least 3 years of experience with Microsoft and Linux operating systems
  • Completed studies in the area of IT, Computer Science or relevant experience in the field of IT
  • Network, Windows, and Linux knowledge is required
  • Basic Firewall understanding is required
  • Familiarity in IT Security topics and how to tackle vulnerabilities is needed.
  • Basic programming skills in various scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell and Bash is required
  • Automation skills in various platforms such as SaltStack or Ansible are welcome
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, further languages are a plus
  • Enthusiasm for new, innovative, and technical subjects along with an understanding of customer and market requirements, trends, and developments in the IT industry
