Responsibilities

 

We are looking for a Payroll Lead to oversee and manage all aspects of payroll processing, with a primary focus on the German payroll, while also being responsible for the broader EMEA region. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience handling payroll for a global or multi-entity organization.

 

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for Germany as the primary focus, while also managing payroll for multiple EMEA countries, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, labor laws, and company policies in all relevant regions
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to optimize payroll operations
  • Manage payroll reporting, audits, and reconciliations, addressing any discrepancies
  • Drive process improvements and implement automation to enhance payroll efficiency
  • Handle escalations related to payroll inquiries from employees and stakeholders
  • Support benefits and compensation-related payroll activities, including bonuses and Share-based compensation
  • Oversee payroll-related topics for international assignments, including shadow payrolls
  • Contribute creative ideas and energy to help the team continuously improve and stay ahead of industry trends and best practices

 

Requirements

 

  • Degree in Business Administration, HR, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years in payroll processing, with at least 2 years in a senior/leadership role
  • Experience with German payroll is a must, experience with other EMEA countries is a plus
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations, taxation, and compliance
  • Proficiency in payroll systems (SAP is a plus)
  • Strong Excel skills are required to ensure efficient handling of complex data and reports
  • Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Fluency in German and English are mandatory
