Responsibilities
As a Labor Law Counsel for TeamViewer, you will provide expert legal advice and support to the company on a variety of matters, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations in all fields of German labor law and works constitution act. Your role will involve working closely with the HR department and the local works council, offering practical and business-oriented legal solutions to assist the company in making informed decisions. You will be responsible for managing legal risks and guiding the company through complex legal challenges.
- Provide legal advice on a range of issues including labor law and works council constitution act as well as contract law
- Advice on all individual and collective labor law matters within the group
- review, drafting and negotiation of contracts
- Preparation of recommendations for action and expert opinions on labor law, taking into account current developments in case law and legislation
- Drafting and negotiating company regulations and agreements relating to employment law
- Creating, adapting and optimizing HR-relevant sample documents and contracts
- Designing and conducting training courses for our HR employees on labor law topics
- Close cooperation with our HR teams
- Support in cross-departmental legal projects
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, contracts, and other legal documents
- Ensure the company's activities comply with applicable laws and regulations, including data protection, intellectual property, and regulatory issues
- Support cross-functional teams in understanding labor law implications and risks in their operations and projects
- Liaise with external legal counsel and manage relationships with law firms when necessary
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal policies, procedures, and legal compliance programs
- Stay updated on relevant legal developments that may affect the company and proactively provide advice on potential impacts
- Provide training to internal teams on legal matters and ensure company-wide legal awareness
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, specialization in labor law. A Master’s degree (LLM) is a plus
- Admitted to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction
- 3-5 years of experience in a labor law counsel role or related position, preferably within the tech sector
- Strong understanding of current labor law
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a business-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Fluent in English and German language (both written and verbal).
