Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Director Procurement (all genders) to lead our global procurement organization. As the most senior procurement leader in our company, you will define and execute the procurement strategy, oversee all sourcing activities, and evolve a high-performing global function that drives business value, operational excellence, and risk mitigation. This role reports into executive leadership and plays a key role in shaping how our fast-growing company engages with the external supply market. With a team of experienced procurement professionals and category experts reporting into you, you will lead initiatives across category management, procurement operations, supplier management, procurement excellence, and ESG — all while partnering closely with business units and enabling functions around the world.
- Define and implement the global procurement strategy in alignment with company goals
- Lead and inspire a diverse global procurement team, including category management, procurement excellence, and operations
- Act as a strategic business partner to executive leadership, contributing to business planning and transformation initiatives
- Oversee all sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationship activities across our mostly indirect spend
- Ensure robust governance, risk management, and compliance processes across the procurement lifecycle
- Own the continuous improvement of procurement policies, tools, and performance frameworks
- Drive cost optimization, innovation, and sustainability in the supplier ecosystem
- Foster strong collaboration across internal functions including Legal, Finance, HR, IT, and local markets
- Represent procurement in cross-functional leadership forums and external engagements
- Develop procurement talent and succession plans to ensure long-term organizational capability
Requirements
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
- 5+ years of procurement leadership experience in a global or multi-regional organization, ideally within tech, SaaS, or digital industries
- Proven track record of developing and executing procurement strategies at scale
- Strong leadership and people development skills, with experience managing global teams
- Deep understanding of category management, sourcing, supplier management, and procurement operations
- Executive-level communication and stakeholder management capabilities
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
- High level of business acumen, integrity, and strategic thinking
