Responsibilities
We are looking for a motivated and committed Database Administrator to strengthen our Master Environment team. Work on various interesting tasks and projects and share your knowledge with your colleagues and team members.
- Install, configure and maintain MS SQL Servers production and non-production environments, including Windows Server, AD, DNS, WSUS, Monitoring and Log collection
- Implement and maintain backup strategies and continuity plans to ensure database systems availability according to RTO and RPO s defined in the company
- Implement and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery solutions for mission-critical databases with technologies Always On Availability Groups, Always On Failover Cluster Instances or Log Shipping
- Administer, maintain data integrity and security of MS SQL Servers
- Automate administrative and operational tasks (Powershell, TSQL)
- Undertake On-Call duty, troubleshoot incidents and performance issues
- Support developers in database design and performance tuning tasks
- Document SQL Server configurations, business continuity and availability solutions, backup and recovery strategies, operations procedures and steps
Requirements
- University or college degree in the field of IT, Computer Science or any other related subject
- Knowledgebase in managing MS SQL Servers with minimum 5 years of professional experience as MS SQL Databases Administrator (including versions 2017-2022)
- Ability to diagnose and resolve failures and performance problems occurring in complex environments with large databases
- Understanding of hardware/networking and experience with infrastructure platforms (Windows Server, Active Director, DNS Service, WSUS, Failover Cluster) for on premise SQL Server deployments
- Experience with TSQL coding and tuning
- Experience with Powershell scripting is mandatory, Powershell DSC platform knowledge would be a plus
- Experience with Zabbix and Grafana monitoring systems would be a plus
- Experience with other database systems Azure Databases, ScyllaDB, Cassandra, PostgreSQL MongoDB would be an advantage
- MS SQL deployments on Linux, Dockers, Kubernetes would be a plus
- Fluency in English is mandatory, further languages are a plus
