About the role

 

At TeamViewer, we aim to create impactful, localized content that resonates deeply with audiences across the globe. As part of our dynamic and expanding Social Media team, you will play a crucial role in shaping TeamViewer’s presence across APAC markets by creating culturally relevant content, managing regional platforms, and supporting local storytelling.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and local agency partners across APAC to grow our footprint on key regional platforms such as Line, WeChat, Weibo, and KakaoTalk. From trend-driven content to live event coverage and proactive community building, you will help bring the TeamViewer brand to life across one of our most exciting and diverse markets.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Line Channel Management: Lead content creation, localization, and publishing for our Japanese Line channel, ensuring cultural relevance and audience engagement.
  • Local Platform Collaboration: Align and coordinate with local teams or agencies to support content management on regional platforms including WeChat, Weibo, and KakaoTalk.
  • APAC Trend Insights: Monitor and report on social media trends across APAC markets, recommending strategic applications for Line or other regional channels.
  • Performance Reporting: Provide regular insights and reporting on APAC social channels to inform strategic planning and content optimization.
  • Proactive Engagement: Develop and run a community engagement program across key APAC platforms to spark meaningful conversations and build strong audience relationships.
  • Event Coverage: Attend and document APAC events, capturing photos and videos for social media—being comfortable appearing on camera as needed.
  • Localized Content Creation: Produce culturally relevant content tailored for APAC audiences while supporting global channels with localized creative assets and insights.
  • Trend Monitoring: Track and communicate emerging trends across APAC platforms, applying platform-specific behaviors to strengthen content strategy.

 

Requirements

 

  • 2+ years of experience working with social media platforms in a brand or agency environment.
  • Native Japanese speaker with deep cultural awareness of digital behaviors in Japan.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with internal teams and external agencies across multiple countries.
  • Fluent in English; additional APAC languages (e.g., Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese) are a strong advantage.
  • Confident on camera and comfortable with short-form content creation during events and field activities.
  • Experience creating content for regional platforms such as Line, WeChat, Weibo, or KakaoTalk.
  • Strong understanding of APAC digital culture, platform trends, audience behaviors, and viral formats.
  • Basic video editing capabilities for quick, mobile-first content creation (CapCut, VN, in-app editing tools).
  • Ability to manage multiple local requests and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling, localization, and bringing global brands to life across diverse markets.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to generate new ideas tailored to APAC audiences.
